Team Building is Good for Business!

 

This is Shamrock Communication’s Brett Beshore.

 

You can almost smell football season in the air and to win on the grid-iron you’ve got to have a good team and a great coach.  Successful businesses are a lot like winning sports teams… you’ve got to have the right people on the bus.

 

Here are some tips to building YOUR dream team!

 

1)     Start by identifying every activity and skill necessary to run your business.

 

2)     Then, determine the best role for you to play (based on your strengths and expertise).

 

3)    Finally, figure out who else you need, based on their expertise, to round out your business team!

 

Other members may include advisors, professionals such as attorneys and accountants and even family members.

 

Once you have your team in place, clearly communicate your goals for the business.

 

Then, get out of the way and let everyone on your team do their job … while keeping them on track and coaching them to success.

 

And when you score that touchdown, be sure to celebrate it with every member of the team. 

 

Because, Team Building is definitely good for business!
