Evaluating Performance is Good for Business!

If you’re in business – you know that evaluating your employee’s performance is critical to THEIR and YOUR success – but too often this doesn’t happen at all.  To get the most out of this process try following the S-M-A-R-T Plan.  Here it is…

 

S - SPECIFICITY

Tell your employees exactly what you want them to do and be clear about your expectations. 

M - MEASURABLE

Give your employees measurable goals and develop a timeline for achieving them.

A - ACCOUNTABILITY

Setting benchmarks keep you from having to micro-manage, and at the same time, and at the same time, help you stay informed.

R - REALISTIC

Setting both achievable and realistic goals are critical, while still encouraging them to grow beyond their comfort zone. 

T - TIMELY

Discuss problems with your employees immediately.  The same goes for catching employees doing something right.

 

By following the S-M-A-R-T plan, you’ll keep your employees on track and happy to be working for you!  Because happy employees are definitely good for business!
